Dr. Ricardo Cuevas was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in November 1961. Ricardo’s academic achievements were recognized by the University of Iowa, were he completed his BS Degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and in 1984 received the National Deans List Award. He than attended the UI College Of Dentistry, rated in the top five of dentistry/medical schools in the nation. Enrolled at the UC-Berkeley in 1986 for graduate level Pharmacology, Dr. Cuevas earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and was rewarded with back to back Deans Leadership Awards in ‘87 & ‘88. The fall of 1991 brought more opportunity to Dr. Cuevas as he was accepted to the primer Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Cuevas received his Certificate in Advanced General Dentistry and successfully continued his practice in California. Dr. Cuevas extensive education and awards earned him licenses in Iowa, Illinois, Connecticut and California.
Dr. Cuevas completed the rigorous UCLA Aestheic Continuum. The course provided the depth, insight, and knowledge to think through complex diagnostic cases to produce a successful aesthetic outcome. Dr. Cuevas has studied and learned the techniques from the experienced masters of the dental profession including : Dr. Brain LeSage. Dr. Jeff Morley, Dr. Jimmy Eubanks, Dr. Ed McLearn, Dr. Henry Takei, Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Ross Nash, Dr. Larry Rosenthal, Dr. Michael Apa, and Dr. Brock Rodeau.
According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Dr. Ricardo Cuevas is the only dentist in Manteca , Ripon, Tracy, Lathrop, Stockton, and Modesto to have achieved the honor and distinction to be called an AACD Sustaining Member. This honor firmly establishes Dr. Cuevas as the Cosmetic Dentist of the Greater Manteca region.
Dr. Cuevas has been active in Manteca serving multiple local Boards of Director, such as:
· Manteca CAPS and the Manteca Chamber of Commerce serving as Legislative Chair and Bylaws nomination committees.
· Member of the American Dental Association.
· Founding President of South San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
· Former President of Manteca Rotary, recognized with 12 awards in his year of service.
· Appointed to the Manteca Vision 2020 Committee.

As well as receiving praise for the Rotary International Foundation on behalf of victims of Hurricane Mitch, in his homeland of Honduras. His legacy is cemented by his membership to the prestigious Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, fellow of the International College of Dentists and fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Many accomplishments in Dr. Cuevas’s career are attributed to his family. He has three older siblings, the eldest Yvonne is dental hygienist in Alaska, Vivian is practicing dentistry in Minnesota and brother Pablo is a dentist practicing in Fairfield, Connecticut. Dr. Cuevas currently resides in Ripon, California enjoying time with his family; wife Richa and daughter Eva Maria Cristina.
Elverne Tonn DDS
Dr. Elverne Tonn has been a doctor at Manteca Dental Group since March 2009 . He is a Pediatric Specialist with more than 45 years experience in treating infants children in Manteca and at Valley Oak dental Group.
Dr. Elverne Tonn studied at La Sierra University fulfilling his pre-dental curricula 1947-1949. He was accepted at the prestigious University of the Pacific where he studied Psychology, Accounting, and Sociology 1950-1951.
Dr. Tonn continued his education at one of the leading centers of dental education the world renowned University of Southern California Dental School. While at USC he received the American Society of Dentistry for Children Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry. He graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1955. Dr. Tonn received additional specialized training at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, in New York 1957-1959.
Dr. Tonn is a Pediatric Dentist who Specializes in the diagnoses and treatment of infants and children. He has completed a course at the University of California at Los Angeles in oral conscious sedation for children. He is also PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and CPR certified for your child’s safety and your peace of mind. We offer nitrous oxide analgesia and when necessary, general anesthesia is available in a local surgery center.
Tonn is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American College of Medical Quality, and the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Having spent many years training for the rewards and challenges of treating children, Dr. Tonn has devoted his entire career to pediatrics. He is a dedicated husband and father, residing in Manteca with his wife .
Dr. Tonn's is a devoted committed neighbor and dedicated to this community. He serves in the Manteca SHARP unit helping the local police Department.
